GLACIER COMPUTER RELEASES 4000 SERIES OF EVEREST RUGGED COMPUTER
NEW CONFIGURATION OFFERS ROBUST COMPUTING IN A COST EFFECTIVE PACKAGE
New Milford, CT- Glacier Computer, a leading designer, developer, and supplier of rugged industrial PC-compatible devices announce shipment of the 4000 Series Everest computer.
Glacier will be offering customers in the warehouse, freight, distribution, and field service markets the 4000 Series Everest all-in-one industrial computer for forklift and fixed-mount harsh environment applications. The 4000 is optimized for rugged environments such as warehouses, construction sites, and manufacturing centers.
The 4000 Series is based on the proven Everest 5000 Series architecture and is ideally suited to customers looking for XP based-computing power at an aggressive price-point. The 4000 Series boasts numerous display and processor options and comes standard with an industrial solid-state hard drive.
“The 4000 Series was designed with specific feedback from our customers,” states John Geary, Vice President of Sales for Glacier. “This unit represents the most commonly requested features and is ideal for customers working with terminal emulation, remote desktop, and HTML applications,” says Geary.
The 4000 Series Everest joins the current Glacier line of rugged computers developed for data collection in industries including warehousing, freight, public safety, and construction. All units include a wide variety of configurations and support Windows XP, Embedded XP and Linux operating systems.
